back row - Gerald and Charlene

January 1964

Meet the parents!
Married on August 25, 1963, I wonder if this is
a) an engagement picture OR
b) taken as they were getting ready to leave
on their honeymoon to Europe?

They are in the backyard of Grandma & Grandpa Devine's home
on North Serrano Ave. in Hollywood

According to legend, Charlene and Gerald met through The Newman Club at the University of Southern California.  Dad was a graduate student in civil engineering and Mom was an undergraduate studying journalism.
